Mr. Herring, President and qualifying party, offers 35 years of commercial and residential construction, remodeling and disaster restoration experience. Herring was certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Fire and Smoke Restoration and Odor Control. He is an EPA Certified Lead Renovator. Prior to joining Rapid Restoration, he worked as General Manager for two New Mexico based General Contractors, owned and operated a local independent disaster restoration company and worked for a national disaster restoration company as a Commercial Large Loss Specialist during the Hurricane Ike disaster in the Houston/Galveston area. Herring also worked for a disaster restoration franchise as an estimator/project manager and owned his own construction company in Texas prior to moving to New Mexico in 2003. He was a Certified Mold Remediator in Texas and New Mexico and acted as an expert witness on behalf of several insurance companies combating insurance fraud related to Mold Remediation in Texas and Louisiana. He continues to work as an expert witness in mold and water damage related cases. He is a founding member of the American Indoor Air Quality Association New Mexico Chapter. Herring has estimated and managed residential and commercial construction/restoration/remediation projects in excess of $25 million. He is an alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Varela, General Manager, has more than 25 years of commercial and residential construction experience. He has worked for various disaster restoration and recovery construction companies in New Mexico, managing projects up to and exceeding $2 million. Luis began as a certified water mitigation technician and quickly advanced his career as an estimator, supervisor and project manager for 15 years, prior to joining Rapid Restoration at its inception.

Mr. Varela, Project Manager, has more than 10 years of general construction industry experience and first-hand knowledge of insurance company operations. With his IICRC certifications as a Water Restoration Technician in Applied Structural Drying, his expertise is a great asset to both Rapid Restoration and our clients.

Mr. Waddell, Project Manager, has 10 years of combined commercial and residential construction as well as disaster mitigation, restoration and recovery experience. During his career Waddell worked as a tradesman, a field supervisor/foreman and estimator. As a certified IICRC professional in Applied Structural Drying and Water Restoration Technician, Chance plays a vital role in the success of all restoration projects

Mrs. Mock, Operations Manager and Project Designer, joined Rapid Restoration in 2024 with over 25 years of experience in office operations, residential remodeling and 10 years of experience in industrial design and special projects, including Customer and Vendor Relations, RFP’s, contract negotiations and the implementation of quality assurance & safety systems. Irish graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
